Rates:
My standard labor charge for repair and mod work is $30 per hour, about half the industry standard. For parts, you pay exactly what they cost plus shipping, nothing more.

Installation of new tubes and biasing is a flat $35 plus the cost of the tubes and shipping, unless it is done as part of a repair, in which case it is rolled in with the other labor. You are free to supply your own tubes if you like.

There is no bench fee for diagnostics. If I can't find the problem, can't fix the problem, or it would be more expensive than a new piece of equipment, there is no charge to you. If I can complete the repair, I will provide you with an estimate before proceeding.

Repairs:
If you need repair work done, contact me by email or phone and let me know the make and model of your equipment, as well as the year of manufacture and the serial number (if you have that info). Describe the problem in detail, being thorough about symptoms and how it was being used when the problem arose.

Modifications:
Many players have a specific amp or instrument modification in mind, but don't have the technical skill to do it themselves. If you're in this situation, I can do whatever mods you would like. You are free to supply parts yourself, or I can get them for you.

You might also just have a general idea of tweaks you'd want -- tighter bass, more gain, etc. -- but don't know how to start. We can discuss different options and come up with something that will work for you.
